This is my story
Hi,
Where do I start? Well, nearly 60 years old now - but 28 in my head - and I have struggled with my weight for about 15 years now. I blame my husband - my second marriage - because meeting him made me the happiest I had ever been in my life, and I relaxed and enjoyed eating and cooking for my family for probably the first time ever. A pretty weak excuse. But, up until then I had been a complete nervous wreck, and weight had never concerned me other than when I was pregant with my three daughters.
Like most people I know with weight problems (I am about 4 stone over weight probably) I have tried just about every slimming club invented. They all worked, but not for long once I had left them, and each time the weight piled back on again. 2lbs here, 3 lbs over a winter, 2lbs after a holiday...you all know the syndrome!
Fat really does just happen! Anne is so right. I hope this web forum will lead me to some other like minded people who can give me the support I know I need - the kick up the bum - as Anne says. If anyone wants to talk to me,I'm here and I'm listening.
