This is my story
I'm a married mum of 3 boys aged 12 years, 2 years and 2 months and I live in Manchester. My last baby was born by a c section so I'm only just getting my mind round to the idea I can now exercise. I'm still breastfeeding too so the diets slightly on hold till that's over with but it has been great in helping me to lose some weight anyway. I work as a teaching assistant in a primary school and will be on maternity leave until Christmas.

Anyway how did I get to the size I am today? hmm well I'm not overly sure. I was always a chubby kid and had a lot of "puppy" fat. I started at high school and lost all the weight with puberty although I still felt like a fat person in a thin body for a while. I found the more energetic my lifestyle was the more I could eat what I wanted and that was great. At 16 I was forced to move from Surrey to Manchester with my parents and I hated it. I became a single mum at 19 and over the course of my pregnancy i had put on 5 stones! I worked really hard and lost the weight although stayed a size bigger than I'd been previously. Unfortunately though I suffered quite badly with post natal depression and I started comfort eating and the weight just piled on. I was soon 19 stones and looked awful. I had depression for 5 years in the end.

Then one day i decided I'd had enough. I joined a gym and then got a job and suddenly the more active lifestyle saw my weight start to drop off me again. I got down to about 14 stones and a size 16. I changed jobs, to the one i'm in now and found it was physically alot less demanding and the weight wasn't as easy to keep off anymore. Then I took Depo (contractive injection) for 2 years and my weight went straight up again to 17 stones. I got married and had a baby and although I only put on 2 stones this time I found it impossible to lose all the weight again so I stayed at 18 stones. I had another baby and again my weight gain was just under 2 stones which was great but this time I had a c-section so I was worried about losing weight.

Anyway it's been easier than I anticipated so far. I am back to just over 17 stones which was my weight before having my 2nd child. I'm keen to start a proper diet once I stop breastfeeding and am looking into joining an online slimming club. I like the idea of being given a shopping list so i know what to buy and I always do best if I'm told what to eat.

I do have a habit of rabbiting on quite abit but would love any diet buddies to swap how things are going. I'm a terrible emotional eater and I find I can never have just 1 biscuit, it always has to be the packet.
