This is my story
I have had many years of back pain which was once diagnosed as Fibromyalgia. However a couple of years ago after an MRI it was found that I had 5 prolapsed vertebrae. I have had problems doing any exercise and learnt to walk and move using the minimum amount of movement and energy. After different types of teatment such as cortezone injections, I finally had a three level fusion on my back which means I now have two six inch Titanium rods and 6 screws over my lower spine area. I can now walk so much better and day by day am getting stronger. There are still some things I find hard to do and I am hoping that getting rid of lots of this weight will help me even more. I go to a swimming pool twice a week or more if I can and run up and down the pool and do exercise in water as I still find it hard to swim. I am married and have a 17 year old son. I work full time as a secretary.
Since the end of October 2007 I have been doing the Cambridge Diet. I started at 16st 12lbs and I am now 13st 6. I still have a way to go but it is working and I am really pleased with the results.
