Are you a secret snacker?
Millions of us (96% of Brits) admit to snacking in secret - feeling ashamed about the mid morning munchies. So we've asked Nigel Denby, Registered Dietitian & founder of www.grub4life.org.uk to host a Web Chat on Wednesday 9th July at 6.30 p.m.  to blow the myths on snacking. He'll give you some great tips on how & when to snack & even how to use snacks to control weight.  If you have a question go to the WebChat room now - questions will be answered on a first served basis only - leave it for Nigel and come back next Wednesday to see his answer!

The Children’s Society and Manchester United invite families to get football fit with an exclusive health guide

Get your family fit and healthy with ‘Shaping Up’, the first ever online guide full of family-friendly healthy living tips and advice from The Children’s Society and Manchester United.01-05-2008
‘Shaping Up’ is designed to help families get exercising while having fun together, eating healthily and building stronger family relationships. To download your FREE copy of the guide, visit www.childrenssociety.org.uk/manutd from May 1st 2008.
‘Shaping Up’ from The Children’s Society has been produced following their Good Childhood Inquiry report into health, released this April which looks at adults’ views on children’s health within the UK.
The guide is easy to follow and caters for all families, including all ages and levels of ability. Manchester United is supporting The Children’s Society as its preferred charity partner and as part of their commitment to ensuring a good childhood for all children. Experts from Manchester United Foundation have teamed up with the charity to develop ‘Shaping Up’, which includes specialist advice from leading experts in fitness, nutrition, life coaching, and family relationships, offering simple advice to help families to get football fit this summer!
With a foreword from Sir Alex Ferguson, ‘Shaping Up’ offers families an easy and unique way to harness their children’s passion for football and sport, whilst improving their fitness and family leisure time with help from the stars at Manchester United.
Tim Linehan from The Children’s Society says: “Staying fit and improving your health together is a really important part of family life.  Whether it is playing football in the park or going for a walk on a Sunday afternoon, playing sport together is invaluable in building strong relationships and keeping fitness fun!”
John Shiels Chief Executive, Manchester United Foundation comments “We are so pleased to be working with The Children’s Society by helping them to create the ‘Shaping Up’ guide. Football can provide a great opportunity for families to spend time together, whether playing or watching a match, and we hope the guide can show families easy ways to improve their health through sport that can be really fun.”
